FAQ's
1. What is speech therapy?
Speech therapy helps children improve their communication skills, including speech sounds, language development, social communication, fluency (stuttering). Therapy is tailored to each child’s specific needs and goals
2. Does my child need a referral?
No. Families can contact us directly to book an assessment. A referral from a doctor is not required, although many physicians and educators do recommend speech therapy when they notice concerns.
3. What signs indicate my child may need speech therapy?
Some common indicators include:
- Difficulty pronouncing certain sounds
- Limited vocabulary for their age
- Challenges following directions
- Stuttering or difficulty with fluency
- Trouble forming sentences
- Difficulty expressing ideas clearly
- Concerns from teachers or caregivers
If you’re unsure, a speech-language assessment can help determine whether support is needed.
4. What happens during an assessment?
A licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) gathers information about your child’s communication, reviews developmental history, and conducts standardized and play-based assessments. You’ll receive a summary of findings, recommended goals, and a treatment plan.
5. Do you offer online or in-person sessions?
Yes. We provide in-person home sessions as well as online teletherapy for families who prefer virtual support or need more flexible scheduling.

Frequency varies depending on the nature and severity of the communication concern. Many children attend weekly sessions, while others benefit from biweekly therapy or short-term intensive programs. Your child’s plan is fully individualized.

We specialize in children from toddlers to teenagers, supporting communication development at every stage.
